Dorset Internet, Infinet and Domain names are divisions
of LDS Technology Limited - the Company in these terms and
conditions.
Goods are not supplied on a trial basis.
All prices quoted are exclusive of V.A.T. (unless otherwise stated).
Certain products have minimum system or configuration requirements, We
suggest if you are unsure of what these are, that you contact us, or the
manufacturer, prior to purchase, since we do not take back, or refund or
exchange, any opened items that are suitable for the purpose intended.
Unless we are specifically asked about requirements or compatibility, we
shall assume the customer is aware of what these are.
If we have to part ship an order, due to temporary stock shortage,
carriage is only charged on the first consignment - subsequent part
shipments will not carry a delivery charge. We will always try to let
you know if an item is out of stock when you place your order. If,
however, you order new release items, we shall hold the order until all
items are in stock, unless you agree to pay a shipping charge per item sent.
The Company will use reasonable endeavours to supply and maintain all
their services. You will not be eligible for any compensation because
you cannot use the service or because of failure, suspension or
withdrawal of all or part of the service. We may change the service at
any time. Regardless of anything else in these terms and conditions, our
liability shall not exceed the proportionate amount of your
subscription/payment for that service. The Company shall not be liable
for any consequential losses you may suffer.
The use of our Dorset Internet service carries additional terms and
conditions to be found here - copies supplied on request. Dorset
Internet customers must acknowledge that each time they link into the
service all terms and conditions will be binding and strictly adhered
to, breach of which may result in suspension or termination of their
rights to use the service and further appropriate action by us and/or
other parties. Particular attention is drawn to the terms and conditions
for the supply of Domain Names.
Prices and promotional offers are subject to change without notice.
We accept Mastercard, Visa, Switch, Solo, Delta and Visa Electron card
payments without surcharge, however, we do reserve the right to deliver
only to the card holder's billing address, or other address acceptable
to the card issuer.
Personal and business cheques are welcome, but will need to be cleared
before the goods are shipped. This takes 5 working days from when we
receive the cheque. Bankers Drafts and Building Society Drafts are
acceptable, but will need verification and may take some time to clear.
Postal Orders are accepted and are cleared immediately. You may also
transfer funds directly into our bank account, in which case goods can
be shipped straight away. Please speak to your sales representative to
obtain the details and procedures.
Our terms are payment on delivery of goods and services or upon
collection of goods.
Education and Government orders are welcome subject to the institution's
acceptance of our trading terms and conditions. Unless otherwise
expressly stipulated by the Company, credit account invoices are due and
payable in full within 28 days of the invoice date. If an invoice
becomes overdue, we reserve the the right to charge interest on overdue
amounts at 5% above Lloyds Bank Plc base lending rate from the time the
amount becomes overdue, until the invoice is paid in full.
No property or title to goods shall pass from the Company to the
Customer until the full amount of the value of the goods has been
credited to the Company's bank account, however the customer is
responsible for the goods from the time of delivery and liability to
insure the goods rests with the customer.
The Company reserves the right to not accept cancellation of orders or
the return of unwanted goods, however, at the Company's discretion it
may be prepared to accept cancellations or returns subject to the
payment of a restocking fee of 15% (minimum amount £25) and that the
returned items are in a fully marketable condition. Cancellations must
be made in writing after having called us, in advance, to obtain a
"Cancellation Number".
All products (inc. special offers, upgrades and promotions) are subject
to availability. The Customer's signature will be required at the time
of receipt and goods cannot be left without such signature. Claims for
non-delivery, missing items or damage to goods in transit must be made
within 3 working days of expected delivery. Claims will not be accepted
after this time.
LDS Technology Limited can accept no liability for performance or late
delivery of goods supplied. In any event, liability shall not be greater
than the value of the goods supplied.

Dorset Internet Terms & Conditions
Terms and conditions of Dorset Internet (a division of LDS Technology
Limited) Definitions:
"Dorset Internet" is a division of LDS Technology Limited (LDS)
"Customer" means the person or company responsible for this agreement
with LDS
"The network" is the telecommunication network and systems enabling
Internet connection
Types of access to Dorset Internet:
"Low User" access is limited to one hour per month before additional
charges are imposed.
"Private" for customers that are not commercial enterprises and access
is unlimited.
"Business" unlimited access for businesses and private customers
requiring extra features not included on the other accounts.
"Standard", "Advantage" and "Premier" Accounts are annual packages that
include connectivity, domain name, email, and hosting discounted for
advance payment, see relevant section for differences.
Acceptance of terms and conditions:
The customer acknowledges that each time they link into the Dorset
Internet service all terms and conditions found here will be binding and
strictly adhered to, breach of which may result in suspension or
termination of their rights to use the service and further appropriate
action by us and/or other parties.
Restrictions of use:
Simultaneous connections to The Network using the same account are
forbidden on "Low User", "Private" and "Business" accounts. Network
accounts are subject to specific agreements.
Dorset Internet considers that any activity which transmits or receives
live video, live audio, or makes similar traffic demands across The
Network constitutes profligate use of The Network and as such is not
permitted.
Use of IP Multicast, other than by means provided and co-ordinated by
Dorset Internet is prohibited.
The network may only be used for lawful purposes. Transmission of any
material through the network or use of any part of it in violation of
any U.K. law or regulation is prohibited. Such prohibited transmission
might include but is not limited to; copyright material, intellectual
property rights, material legally judged to be threatening or obscene,
material protected by trade secret, whether or not the end-user was
aware of the content or of the relevant law.
Domain Name Terms and Conditions:
LDS Technology Limited reserves the right to withhold domain name
transfers until all outstanding invoices are fully paid.
LDS Technology Limited submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the
English courts. By reserving a domain name you agree to keep LDS
Technology Limited and its directors fully and effectively indemnified
at all times and indemnify LDS Technology Limited and its directors
accordingly against all costs, claims, liabilities, actions and expenses
arising directly or indirectly through your choice and use of domain
name. Domain names are customer specific orders and therefore cannot be
cancelled.
General conditions:
Dorset Internet does not monitor and is unable to exercise control over
the content of any information passing through or stored on the network
and therefore hereby excludes all liability in respect of any
transmission or reception of any information of whatever kind, or the
accuracy of the contents thereof; or the scrambling of any information
or data. The customer will be issued with a password to access services
and shall take all reasonable steps to ensure such password remains
private and confidential. If the password becomes known to any other
person the Customer will immediately inform Dorset Internet who will
issue a new password.
Dorset Internet's minimum contract period is 3 months from initial
connection with 1 month's written notice required for termination of
monthly internet accounts by either party.
Yearly internet contracts are discounted packages and therefore cannot
be part paid or cancelled until renewal. One months written notice is
required to terminate annual agreements after the first year.
Dorset Internet will use reasonable endeavours to maintain all their
services. You will not be eligible for any compensation because you
cannot use the service or because of failure, suspension or withdrawal
of all or part of the service. We may change the service at any time.
Regardless of anything else in these terms and conditions, our liability
shall not exceed the proportionate amount of your subscription.
Dorset Internet shall not be liable for any consequential losses you may
suffer.
Dorset Internet shall not be liable for any loss of service or
consequential losses if you domain name(s) is not under their control.
Dorset Internet is not responsible for any use you make of their
services, for any charges that you incur with any third party nor for
any software running on your systems.
You will indemnify Dorset Internet against the effects of any misuse or
any claims resulting from that misuse.

Terms and Conditions of Use for Hosting & Email Accounts
Dorset Internet will:
Provide limited technical support, answering calls during office hours,
9:00 to 17:30.
Provide sufficient access servers to ensure a high standard of
connectivity to the service.
Keep any personal information given by the Customer to Dorset Internet
confidential.
Provide all services as detailed in the original offer at no cost to the
Customer and will invoice the Customer for any chargeable services they
have agreed to purchase.
Reserve the right to terminate an account without notice.
Disclaimer of Liability
Dorset Internet is not liable for protection or privacy of email or
other information transferred via the Internet.
Dorset Internet does not warrant that the Customer will receive
uninterrupted service during the term of this Agreement.
In no event will Dorset Internet be liable for any damages resulting
from or related to any failure or delay in service.
The Customer will
Be responsible for interoperability between their PC, modem and public
telephone service.
Pay on demand the charges for any chargeable service they have agreed
to, including a £15 admin charge.
Not use the service to distribute unsolicited commercial messages, known
as Spam.
Use the service entirely at their own risk.
Support for the service does not include HTML authoring, page design
Customers are responsible for keeping copies of their files.
Dorset Internet does not guarantee to keep back-ups of data and will not
be held responsible for any loss.
Customers will be responsible for the content of their part of Dorset
Internet Web Space
Dorset Internet reserves the right to remove, suspend or alter any of
the Dorset Internet Premier Account functions without notice.
If a customer no longer holds an account, their data will be deleted

Cancellation of Service Terms & Conditions
Cancellation of service(s):
"Low User", "Private" and "Business" accounts paid monthly require one
months written notice from either party. Any un-used service will be
refunded unless you have benefited from annual pricing where no refund
will be given.
“Standard”, “Advantage” and “Premier” Accounts are annual contracts for
a minimum period of 12 months. Thereafter one months written notice from
either party is required. IE. you must give notice at month 11 or before
of your intention to cancel. Any un-used service will not be refunded.
